In 2005 Alexander Wang launched a small selection of six unisex knits. Worn by his model, stylist and editor friends, everyone was soon asking who the young designer with all the cool friends was. Two years later and the New York-based designer launched his eponymous collection in 2007, winning the CFDA Fashion Fund the following year and the mentorship of Diane von Furstenberg.
