We Want Matches’ Limited Edition Designer Tees!Posted by Styloko
We’re proud to be British. Everyone’s proud to be British. Hell, even non-British people want to be British right now. Matches, it seems, is feeling especially patriotic – to celebrate the 2012 Olympics, it’s teamed up with eight of Britain’s best designers on a series of limited edition charity tees that are guaranteed to knock your sparkly Miu Miu socks off.
And yes, now’s a good time to squeal. Erdem, Holly Fulton, Jonathan Saunders, J.W. Anderson, Mary Katrantzou, Richard Nicoll, Roksanda Ilincic, and illustrator for cult magazine ‘Herself’, have each designed a one-off t-shirt for the luxury retailer – and just in case owning an exclusive piece of fashion history isn’t enough, all proceeds from the sales are being donated to the Dispossessed Fund to fight poverty in London.
At £60, we’ll take three – MK’s typewriter, J.W. Anderson’s signature print, and Roksanda’s peplum, if you’re pushing us (though we’d happily walk away with them all, natch). The tees have just launched online and in Matches stores across London – grab yours quick before they inevitably sell out.
