Trousers: The Ultimate Item For Transitional Dressing

Posted by Styloko

We’re totally smitten with trousers right now. And judging by what we’ve seen on the autumn/winter runways, designers are too. For us city girls, trousers are our saviour – not only are they comfy to wear (and move in) but a good pair of pants can take us from office meeting to post-work drinks quite effortlessly.

And, when it’s too nippy for shorts and sundresses (sob) but too clammy for tights, a chic pair of trousers is the perfect antidote to those in-between wardrobe blues.

We’re taking our cue from Rochas and Kenzo, whose graphic print cropped pants are guaranteed to be the hottest tickets for next season. But for those who prefer understated minimalist cool, see Céline, Stella McCartney and Proenza Schouler’s impeccably cut wide-legged trousers that will look great with a simple tee for September temperatures, as well as under an oversized wool coat for chillier climes.

Need a hint as to which styles to try? Our Transitional Trousers Scrapbook has our pick super hot pants – think of it as an antidote to the temperamental weather and an early investment into next season’s biggest trend.
