Shoe Treasure Trove at CLEO B
Named as new shoe brand to watch by British Vogue, with further praise from the likes of Grazia and The Financial times, CLEO B shoes are in a league of their own. Quirky yet full of girly charm, her designs have an artistic quality that, while being trend-aware and relevant also seems timeless.
Having attended the renowned Cordwainer’s College, Cleo trained at the Salvatore Ferragamo design studio in Florence. She also worked with a number of well-known London-based footwear and accessories designers including Nicholas Kirkwood, then launched her own brand in 2008. This then lead to the opening of her own boutique in London’s Belgravia, where we stopped by today to see the AW ’11/12 collection.
This season’s offering has a definite luxurious feel, and draws inspiration from traditional Romani tribes. Touching on the mysterious and captivating elements of Romani culture, the resulting collection is beautiful and daring.
The styles are a mixture of evening as well as casual, elegant daywear. From a new ultra high chunky heel and platform combination to the signature wedge and flats, the collection is understated luxury. The styles include delicate, had cut Romani patterns and hand stitching contrasts with brass hardware, opulent suede folds gathered by tassel drawstrings, elegant velvet heels, and rabbit fur.
The colour palette ranges from tan, and deep brown to purple and dusky pink, and still includes the CLEO B brights: sky blue pops, orange and turquoise.

The CLEO B boutique is at 147 Ebury Street, London SW1W 9QN. If you’d like to see more fabulous shoe photos, you can see the rest of the ones we took today on our Facebook page.
