The Hat Guide
Posted by StylokoWe’ve always wondered how, just how, does Kate Middleton make wearing hats seem so effortless? Yeah, we know what you’re thinking – it’s because she has the perfect outfits to go with them (although this shouldn’t be a problem if you’ve taken any advice from our occasionwear posts).
But while we can’t transform you into the Duchess’s double, we can tell you that there’s a lot to be said about the hairstyles you wear with headgear – the princess-style half-up ‘do or a neatly scraped-back bun work best with formal styles.
Whether you’re going for full head cover, fascinators or the flying saucer types, remember to check the rules (if it’s the races you’re off to). But if it’s a simple case of not being able to make up your mind as to what to wear, then your answers lie right here in our Hat Guide Scrapbook. Just remember it’s about making a statement, and not being an embarrassment to your friends.
