NYFW AW12 Highlights: Day 6
Tory Burch
Cutting a more classic shape, Tory Burch sent flirty, feminine pieces down runway for AW12; from uber cute knee length dresses that the Duchess of Cambridge would be proud of, to thigh-skimming metallic jackets. Embellishments were as intricate as ever, featuring on a number of slim-line dress, cardigans and skirts. With a significant 1950′s feel, we can expect next season to be prim and proper for the Tory Burch woman.

Badgley Mischka
With the likes of Kelly Osbourne sitting front row, Badley Mischka’s latest offering had a lot to live up to – luckily, this fierce collection delivered. Featuring serious shine and decadent dresses, their form-fitting shapes with a glam rock edge will take a confident woman to wear them – but she’ll wear them well. We’re loving the dark lip and voluminous hair, too.

Vera Wang
Layer, layer, layer is what we imagine ran through Vera Wang’s mind when she designed her new winter collection. Earthy pieces were showered with chiffon, fur, and a fusion of other fabrics to show-stopping effect, while pops of zingy orange punctuated an otherwise neutral palette.

Rodarte
By Rodarte’s standards, the design duo’s latest offering was somewhat safe, but innovative geometric tailoring kept this collection far from boring. Showcasing a mix of super feminine florals, frills, and leather-embossed dresses that finished at the knee, these 50′s-esque looks were all about shape and effortless elegance.

Oscar De La Renta
We can’t help but always get a little over-excited for the Oscar De La Renta collections, and boy, we weren’t left longing. Featuring sweet floral and boucle dresses cinched in at the waist and classic carpet jackets that dripped detail and decadence, Renta’s autumn collection was a waterfall of girlie pieces. We’ll take every ruffle, thanks.
