Kate Moss Is A Golden Goddess In Vogue’s June Issue
Posted by StylokoAre you thinking what we’re thinking? Yes, it’s Kate Moss on the cover of Vogue, again. For the 32nd time, in fact.
But while we’re subconsciously shaking our heads in disappointment at the unadventurous choice of star, we have to admit that it’s a pretty fabulous front cover. Shot by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Kate – whose smoldering smile and golden locks are as gorgeous as ever – wears a Grecian-style dress by Versace to front the magazine’s June issue, out now.
We’re also mesmerised by the eight-page editorial inside, ‘Mighty Aphrodite‘, in which the London Flame (as Vogue have dubbed her) dazzles and shines in armour-inspired bodysuits and bejwelled goddess gowns. And we won’t be the first to admit that La Moss – at 38, no less - rocked that Atelier Versace Swarovski crystal-encrusted corset.
The Going For Gold issue, which celebrates all things Brittania – including the upcoming Olympics and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – is packed full of features that are inspiring even cynics like us to get excited about the eventful summer ahead. We love Alasdair McLellan’s ‘London Pride’ shoot, which features the UK’s leading lights like Lara Stone, Tom Hardy and The XX, as well as Peter Lindburgh’s celebration of the beauty of the athletic body in ‘Sporting Gods’, starring this year’s Olympic hopefuls. The highlight, however, may have to be Tim Walker’s tribute to Britain’s ‘National Treasures’ in which he captures the nation’s favourite broadcaster David Attenborough holding an Elephant Bird egg, natch.
Well, this might just be our favourite June issue ever!
