Girl Power! The Spice Girls Are Back And As Good As Ever

OMG! Oh my god! OH EM GEE! We could go on forever – literally – so we apologise now for the amount of capital letters and exclamation marks that follow in this post. We’re usually very good when it comes to containing our excitement (and grammar), but this, we think you’ll agree, is an exceptional circumstance.

The Spice Girls (screeeeam!!!) came back to close the London 2012 Olympics last night and WE CANNOT GET OVER HOW INCREDIBLE THEY WERE. Just look at them. Look at them! This is probably the best thing to happen to the world since Spice World – the movie.

Looking every inch their former popstar selves, our favourite girls were back with a bang, riding customised crystal taxis, busting out dance routines, and generally spreading Girl Power to the world (natch).

We were especially excited to see them dressed as their signature Spicey counterparts, which involved Victoria in an LBD by Giles Deacon, Emma in a pink mini by Maggie Cooke, Geri in a red strapless dress by Suzanne Neville (props to the Union Jack reference), Mel B in a crystal bodysuit by Zuhair Murad, and Mel C in a sporty jumpsuit by JD Sports (seriously).

Viva Forever, Girl Power, Say You’ll Be There, Spice Up Your Life etc. Please don’t go, girls. We want you to stay like this FOREVER.
