First Look: Brad Pitt For Chanel No 5

Ok, clearly this is not the first look at Brad Pitt for Chanel No 5 (although we really, really wish it was).

In case you were hiding under a rock (that was on a desert island, in Timbucktoo), yesterday Brad Pitt was named the new face of Chanel No 5. And no, the label hasn’t launched a new men’s fragrance. He’s fronting the campaign for women. That’s the perfume for women. Worn by women.

We’re divided on this. On the one hand, this is Brad Pitt. Lovely, smouldering, increasingly rugged Brad Pitt. He makes everything more appealing. Presumably, he makes everything smell more appealing too. On the other hand, this is a fragrance for women (did we say that already?).

Anyway, apparently our opinion doesn’t actually matter, because if the rumours are true, B-Pitty’s shooting the ad in London this week. It may or may not look exactly like the above, probably with the addition of rain.
