Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 2012
Posted by StylokoWe’re always up for a bit fashion feasting for a good cause. Especially when that means a collection of goodies designed exclusively for the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer initiative, which officially launched this week.
Appropriately (and just in time for the Queen’s Jubilee), this year’s products from the biggest retailers including M&S, River Island, Topshop, Warehouse, my-wardrobe and Laura Ashley celebrate iconic British traditions like afternoon tea, a day at the seaside and our love for all things festival. We’re loving Topshop’s printed scarf and my-wardrobe’s limited edition Chakra bracelets by Daisy Jewellery, by the way. And with at least 30% of the proceeds going towards Breakthrough Breast Cancer, we don’t even need an excuse to splash our cash.
To top it all off, this year’s campaign, shot in black and white by renowned fashion photographer Ellen Von Unwerth, stars two of the most up-and-coming faces in British fashion and music. Pixie Geldof and Georgia May Jagger, who’s followed her mother Jerry Hall’s footsteps in fronting the FTBC campaign circa 2006, are looking as gorgeous as ever.
With 48,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer every year, we can’t think of a better charity than FTBC – now in its 16th year – to support. Now, which colour Chakra bracelet should we go for?
Shop this year’s charity items currently on sale in our FTBC Scrapbook, and see the rest in our gallery below.
