Anticipating spring: we dig this dude’s trans-seasonal style
We may still be in the frosty throes of winter, but some savvy sirs are already pre-empting spring in their sartorial choices. Captured just off Oxford Circus, this cool gent caught our attention instantly, not least because of his daring dash of ankle (yep, expect last season’s trend for ankle flashing to flourish in spring/summer 2012, too).
Blending elements of a winter wardrobe with a new-season stance, we love the teaming of a Breton top with a fur-lined coat (call us obsessed, but we recognise this as being The Kooples‘ rabbit fur collar coat from last season, coming back in stock soon). And if the Paris and Milan autumn/winter 2012 shows taught us anything, it’s that the fur-lined collar is set to cosy up all our coats for round two next winter.
For a totally trans-seasonal approach, this dude’s rolled-up red chinos with complementing red and white boat shoes completes the distinctly preppy, springtime vibe – and finished with a retro blue bag and chunky headphones, we’re feeling suitably inspired (just a shame about the street cleaner in the background sullying our near-perfect snap!).
